Over the past six years, representing Fairfield and Southport, I have remained committed to using data and evidence to guide good public policy. I earned my Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. Following that, I worked as a school administrator to learn first-hand the challenges facing our students, educators, and families. I then became a data and policy analyst for the Connecticut State Department of Education, where we reformed the state's accountability system, and I managed the state's largest data collection.

The day that Donald Trump was elected was the last day of my maternity leave with my second son. As someone professionally trained in using data to develop effective policy, it became clear that we needed more people who care about good policy to be our policy-makers. Since then, I have been working hard to listen to you and do the research to make our state and community a better place for our children, for our economy, and for our environment. I have always said that data serves as a unifying force. It's a way to establish common ground and build consensus. This approach has been my cornerstone in elected office and will continue to be. I hope to continue to earn your trust and your vote on November 3.
